€16.50 per hour | Paid mileage | Weekly fuel card | Flexible shift work
Are you a qualified Healthcare Assistant with a full driving licence who enjoys variety, independence and working within your local community?
Right at Home is recruiting Rapid Responders / Driving Healthcare Assistants to support clients across Waterford and the CHO5 area.
This is a varied and rewarding role for someone who enjoys being on the move and making a real difference. You will travel between clients, provide high-quality care in their homes and support the wider care team when additional cover is needed.
You will use your own car to travel between clients, but you will not be required to transport clients in your vehicle.

Your Role Will Include
Providing personal care and companionship
Supporting clients with meals and medication prompting
Assisting with light household duties
Travelling between clients throughout Waterford and the CHO5 area
Covering scheduled calls and providing additional support when required
Responding to gaps in care due to sickness, absence or changes in service needs
Completing care records and reporting any concerns
Supporting the Supervisor and wider care team when required
Promoting clients’ dignity, independence and wellbeing at all times
What You Will Need
QQI Level 5 Care Skills and Care of the Older Person, or an equivalent qualification
A full driving licence and access to your own car
Previous experience working as a Healthcare Assistant
Flexibility to work mornings, evenings and weekends
A reliable, caring and professional approach
Strong communication and organisational skills
Ability to work independently and use your own initiative
Full right to work in Ireland
International Police Clearance where applicable
Up-to-date Patient Moving & Handling certification, or willingness to complete training provided
