Driving Healthcare Assistant – Co. Meath
Right at Home Ireland is currently recruiting experienced and compassionate Healthcare Assistants to support clients across Co. Meath.
Our mission is to improve the quality of life for those we serve, helping clients remain safe, comfortable and independent in their own homes.
The Role
As a Healthcare Assistant, you will travel between clients’ homes to provide high-quality, person-centred care in line with each client’s individual care plan.
Your duties may include:
Assisting clients with personal care, including washing, dressing and toileting
Supporting clients with mobility and transfers
Preparing meals and assisting with light household duties
Providing medication reminders in line with the client’s care plan
Offering companionship and emotional support
Completing accurate care records
Reporting any changes or concerns regarding a client’s wellbeing
Healthcare Assistants are not required to transport clients in their own vehicles. A car is required solely to travel between client visits.
Essential Requirements
Full Irish driving licence
Access to your own vehicle
QQI Level 5 qualification in Healthcare Support, or equivalent
Care Skills and Care of the Older Person modules
Previous experience in home care, residential care or a similar healthcare setting
Good communication and interpersonal skills
A kind, reliable and professional approach
Eligibility to work in Ireland
Willingness to complete Garda Vetting and the required pre-employment compliance checks
