Quality Officer

Job Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and dedicated Quality Officer to join our team. The Quality Officer will be responsible for ensuring that our services meet the highest standards of care and compliance, promoting continuous improvement and fostering a culture of quality across our organization. This role involves monitoring client care standards, conducting audits, and collaborating with management to uphold the best possible service to our clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct regular audits and assessments to ensure homecare services comply with regulatory requirements, legislation and organizational policies.
- Communicate Audit findings to key Management and follow up on audit issues
- Work with Client Care team to ensure all assessments and reviews are kept up to date, meeting with relevant requirements
- Support the development and implementation of the Internal Audit department and its policies and procedures.
- Remain up to date with professional standards such as HIQA, HSE, HSA and all relevant legislation relevant to Homecare
- Monitor care plans and client feedback to assess the effectiveness of services and identify areas for improvement.
- Provide training and support to staff on quality standards, best practices, and regulatory compliance.
- Investigate complaints, incidents, and concerns raised by clients, families, or staff, ensuring appropriate corrective actions are taken.
- Maintain accurate records of quality assurance activities, reports, and audits.
- Assisting with maintaining and enhancing the company’s ISO 9001:2019 Quality Management Certification
- (After training) Tracking corrective actions
- Collaborate with other departments, including HR and Operations, to ensure consistent quality across all care services.
- Stay updated on industry regulations, standards, and best practices to ensure ongoing compliance.
- Assist in preparing for external inspections and audits, ensuring all necessary documentation and procedures are in place.
- Promote a culture of continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to enhance service quality and patient satisfaction.
- Travel between office locations
Qualifications and Skills:
- QQI Level 7 in Healthcare/Social Studies or equivalent
- Proven experience in quality assurance, regulatory compliance, or a related field, preferably within the healthcare or homecare sector.
- In-depth knowledge of homecare standards, regulations, and compliance requirements.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to analyze data and trends to improve care delivery.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with staff and clients.
- Ability to handle sensitive situations with professionalism and confidentiality.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to implement corrective actions effectively.
- Proficient in using quality management software and IT
- Demonstrate excellent cross functional teamwork skills
- 3 years experience in the Homecare sector
